Windows server can`t update
I have windows server 2008 , i recive this message while windows update
" an error occured while checking for new updates for your computer " any one can fix this error ???! thanks in advance

proceed like that:
Run chkdsk /r /f and sfc /scannow Reset Windows Update components Download and install System Update Readiness tool for your Windows Disable all security softwares
If this does not help, perform an in-place upgrade of your OS.

I mean to repair the install of your OS. Insert 2008 DVD, boot on it and select Upgrade.
